Tearin' It Up -- for Scribbles Designs!!

Hello, fellow crafters!  Today is my first post for Scribbles Designs.  I've long enjoyed the quirky designs of Sandy Sommerfeld, so when I saw the design team call, I reached out.  The amazing thing is, they coordinators created a position that fits me, my schedule, and my health concerns.  I'm so grateful, humbled, and excited!  I will be posting once a month for Scribbles Designs.  Perfect!

Today, I have 2 projects on the Scribbles Designs blog, so therefore, 2 projects here to share with you.  First, I'll show you the card with Carl, the wild snowboarder.   I was so inspired by the snowboarders in the Winter Olympics this year.  All that talent and energy was the inspiration behind this card:

This card uses Carl - Snowboard (#327) and Tearin' It Up (#019).  I colored Carl- Snowboard with Copic markers.

The snowboarding figures on this card were cut out on my Silhouette Cameo 3 with a file I found at the Silhouette Design Store.  Papers are from Close To My Heart.

The second project is a gift box.   One of the items on my bucket list is a trip to Paris.  This sentiment took me there:

This uses the sentiment Love Paris.  I just love this sentiment!

I found this print and cut gift bag in the Silhouette Design Store and knew it would be perfect with this Love Paris sentiment.

That's it for my first Scribbles Designs post.  I'll be back on April 23 with more Scribbles Designs inspiration.  Woot!

Happy Birthday, You Old Goat! -- for QKR Stampede

Happy Friday, my loyal followers!  Enjoy your weekend.

I have a friend that I send a card to every week.  In just a couple od days, he turns 97!  Ninety seven!  Unbelievable!  He is one of the neatest people I know, with an incredible sense of humor.   I made him this card, because I think it will tickle his funny bone...

I also made this card for this week's challenge at QKR Stampede Challenge Blog.  The challenge is always Anything Goes.

This card uses several QKR Stampede digital stamps.  The image, colored with Copic markers, is Old Ram (Q-digi15611).  The Old Goat sentiment is Q-digi14506.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is digi15521.

The card base is an SVG cutting file from My Scrap Chick.

I hope you can join us this week at QKR Stampede for our Anything Goes challenge!  I'd love to see what you make, and we've got great digis you can win!  Like this one!

Lucky to Call You Friend -- Guest Designing at Scrapbook Stamp Society

It's Friday (yay!), and I was lucky enough recently to win the challenge at Scrapbook Stamp Society Challenge Blog, giving me the opportunity to guest design for them.  Today, I'm featured on the Scrapbook Stamp Society blog because of that challenge win.  I chose this adorable images as one of my prizes, and decided to color it up:

Isn't she the sweetest? This is Shannon O'Hattie (image 673), colored with Copic markers.  I computer generated the sentiment.

The shamrock paper is digital.  The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The die cut shamrocks are left over from another project I recently completed. I made the card base with Spellbinders dies.

I had a great time coloring up this My Besties image.  Sherri Baldy's artwork is a dream to color!  Thank you to Karin and the Scrapbook Stamp Society Challenge Blog for giving me the opportunity to guest design today!

Stand Under My Umbrella -- for Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez

Woo hoo!  Today is the first day of Spring!  Spring is my favorite season, and I've already been enjoying some of the early signs of spring here in NW Wisconsin, including s couple of robin sightings!

I'm also enjoying my time on the Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez design team.  Her stamps and digi stamps are so darn cute!  I am having a blast coloring them up!  Today, I have an awesome Little Duck that I made into a springtime card, just for the first day of spring:

I colored Little Duck with Copic markers.  The designer papers on this card, also by Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez, are the Easter Pastel digital papers

Easter Pastel

The stitched clouds on this card are cutting dies by Honey Bee Stamps.  The umbrella is a cutting die that has been in my stash for so long, I don't know the brand name anymore.  The sentiment is from Close To My Heart.

I hope you check out the Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez Etsy Shop to see all the wonderful clear and digital stamps and papers for yourself.  In the US, check out this Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez Shop!  The Kinda Cute by Patricia blog is here, with inspiration found almost daily.  There's also a Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez Face Book group, with a monthly challenge, more inspiration, and news here

Create Your Own Sunshine -- for the Path of Positivity

It's the 3rd Monday of the month, so that means it's time for some mid-challenge inspiration over on the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog.  This month's optional theme is "yellow", and the project needs to be positive.  We are the Path of Positivity, after all.

Our sponsors this month are Imagine That Digistamp and Limited Runs.   For this challenge, I worked with a chalkboard art design from Imagine That Digistamp

This is Imagine That Digistamp's Create Your Own Sunshine.  It prints off looking just like a chalkboard, and of course, being digital, can be re-sized however you like it.  Awesome!

The sunshine die cut on the card base is from Honey Bee Stamps.  The sun in the middle of the die cut was cut out on my Silhouette Cameo 3 with a file from the Silhouette Design Store.

I love the color yellow!  It makes me think of sunshine, and I am definitely happier and more filled with energy on days when the sun is shining.

I hope you can join us at the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog for our optional Yellow themed challenge.  Or, enter any positive themed challenge you'd like.  The challenge goes until April 7.

Think Spring! for QKR Stampede Challenge Blog

Think Friday!  Think Spring!  Think QKR Stampede Challenge Blog!  (Ok, that's all the advice I have for you today, LOL).

There's a new challenge starting today at QKR Stampede Challenge blog, and it's Anything Goes.  Come join us this week!

I'm definitely thinking spring, and so is Chicken Little (Q-digi24296):

I colored Chicken Little with Copic markers.  She really doesn't look happy at all, does she?  Such an expression on her face!

The awesome designer papers that worked so well for my theme are from Imagine That Digistamp.  The umbrella die cut has been in my stash for years, and I can no longer tell you who it's by.  Sorry!  It's one of my favorites for spring.  I computer generated the sentiment.   The ribbon on the card is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.   The square dies used to create the card are from Lawn Fawn.

I hope you can join us this week at QKR Stampede for our Anything Goes Challenge.  I'd love to see what you create, and we've got awesome digis you can win (like this cutie!)

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
The Outlawz Twisted Thursday -- Tic Tac Toe (pink, ribbon, free space)
